Can a 17 year old ride megabus from Canada to the US alone?

I'm going to go visit my friend who lives in the states next month, and I live in Canada. I'll be taking Megabus to get there, and I'll be traveling alone, and I'm 17. I'm just wondering if it'll be okay with the bus? I'm going to have a note of parental permission.

    You can do it, but you should watch out for those double-deckers. They suffer from many defects and should be avoided. Try out Greyhound or Trailways instead, their equipment is safer and more comfortable.

    its fine. i took megabus from ny to dc so it should be fine. im only 14
