Why does the Bible not mention kangaroos in the Ark?

Should we have a new edition of the Bible?

The people who made up the Noah's ark story didn't know that there are other continents. They thought every animal was within walking distance of the Middle East :)

Through the thousands of years since t hen many animals have interbred to make up today's animals. For existence a zebra,or wolfs...The “kinds” of animals selected had reference to the clear-cut and unalterable boundaries or limits set by the Creator, within which boundaries creatures are capable of breeding “according to their kinds.” It has been estimated by some that the hundreds of thousands of species of animals today could be reduced to a comparatively few family “kinds”—the horse kind and the cow kind, to mention but two. The breeding boundaries according to “kind” established by Jehovah were not and could not be crossed. With this in mind some investigators have said that, had there been as few as 43 “kinds” of mammals, 74 “kinds” of birds, and 10 “kinds” of reptiles in the ark, they could have produced the variety of species known today

There were a lot of animals in Noah's time to name in the Bible. Notice what Genesis 6:19, 20 states, "And of every living creature of every sort of flesh, two of each, you will bring into the ark to preserve them alive with you. Male and female they will be. (20) Of the flying creatures according to their kinds and of the domestic animals according to their kinds, of all moving animals of the ground according to their kinds, two of each will go in there to you to preserve them alive."

The Bible does reveal that "every living creature of every sort of flesh," "the flying creatures" and "the domestic animals." The recorder of the book of Genesis, Moses, was guided by Jehovah God's holy spirit to record these words. Indicating there was different types of animals. And even insects as well moving into the ark along with Noah and his family. There were more important things that needed to be written in the Bible in order to make it beneficial for us to learn and draw close to Jehovah God.

Why? Does it matter to your salvation? I think not.

But Noah only had to take care of the animals that he could gather or that came to him. The Lord took care of the rest, if the great Flood was truly global.
