2002 Grand Cherokee Windshield Wiper Issue. Any GJC experts out there ?

The wipers on the car work, but sporadically. They seem to work fine in low speed and high speed, but in delay mode will sometimes stop in the middle of the windshield. Also getting them to park takes a few flips on the stalk control to land them in the parked position. Is this a wiper motor issue, or is there something else I should be looking at ? Thanks for any help

The wiper motor has a built in circuit that will keep the power on even if the power is turned off at the switch so that the wipers will stay on until they reach the park position. The only way for you to repair this is to replace the motor.

PS: the intermediate works on this circuit by just turning the power on for a very short time as it only has to make the wipers start.

Sounds like the limit switches in the wiper motor assembly are going. There was a time when those were adjustable but it has passed. It's time for a new wiper motor assembly.
