What do you think about this?
I went to a high school graduation ceremony and at least 35 students with GPA 4.0 and higher. Is this normal or it's kind of high? I graduated from high school in the mid 80s. Please let me know. Thanks.

Depends upon the size of the class, the city and the school. In a wealthy area where higher income professional people live, you can expect around 15% to 20% of students to have a 4.0. At an elite private school, you can expect 30% or more. And, in an inner city school in an area with a lot of unemployment and strife, it would likely be only about 5%.
A 4.0 is only a 94% or higher (not a perfect 100).

Yup. Sadly, there's a lot of GPA inflation these days. AP/Honor classes are weighted out of 5.0 points in some schools, so if you're a good student you can easily get over a 4.0

You are asking a question about statistics and probability. There is no way to know the answer to this question without having the total students who graduated. Good luck with your future plans.
