places to travel close to London?
i'm planning a trip in August to London, but I also want to travel around a little bit while there, what are some easy places to travel to (and fun places) that I can get to easily / possibly cheaply outside of london for a night. are there parts of Ireland that are close and a good option?

You have to fly to Ireland for a short visit. If you took a train and boat, you would not be able to do a day trip as it will take you about 8 hours to get there
There are plenty of places within a 2-3 hour train or coach ride from London - Bath, Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol just to name a few
If you buy a train or coach ticket in advance you can often get cheap trips as long as you are willing to travel at off-peak times
Look on http://www.thetrainline.com/ for train tickets
Or for coach tickets http://uk.megabus.com/ or http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx

Brighton is a good shout for a day trip. The train journey is very long and is cheap enough. Once there toy can head down to the Sea front, go up the pier and try out the amusements.

there became this place I visited called Tunbridge Wells. My friends who stay there mentioned the colleges have been important. the father is going into London for artwork familiar. they provide the effect of being to get exhilaration from the placement a lot. As for multicultural, they have a 'pub' that has a stay band that performs all varieties of music. they also have a music venue. that's an extremely especially and quiet place :)
