How surprised would you be to see the Lions win the North this season?

The Lions have done many good things since my harsh criticism of them a few months ago. They've added depth to the safety and defensive line spots, brought in many bright interior linemen which will help the run game, and the overall attitude of this team seems to be completely different than it was around this time last season. If a LB, ANY linebacker can step up and play his heart out at OLB and play well, and Riley Reiff fares well at LT, I think the Lions may be a good team after all. I am thrilled for this season.

So, how surprised would you be to see the Lions win the North this season?

I would be very surprised if the Detroit Lions actually won the NFC North division title this upcoming season. I fully expect the NFC North to be a 2-team race between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers.

    Actually not very surprised

    Packers- awful defense

Bears- new head coach, the first year is never good or at least really good

Vikings- I mean Adrian Peterson gets injured the Vikings are back to 3-13, when your whole offense revolves around 1 guy it's hard to have a good team

    Also

    The lions

Last year they didn't have a running game, there best player in there secondary missed more than half the season (Louis delmas)

Bill Bentley also missed some games

Chris greenwood missed the whole season, he's suppose to be a really good player ( I can't testify I've only seen him play like once but I here he has great upside)

We have Reggie bush who gives us that Jahvid best player (keep in mind the year we had best was the year we went to the playoffs)

Last season are 2nd and 3rd and forth all had difficulty finding the field last year

Titus young- I'm sure you've heard

    Broyles- torn acl

    Burlesson- broken leg

Burlesson and broyles are both ahead of schedule and should be ready week 1

We have Stephen Tulloch who I believe is one of the most underrated LB in the NFL

Suh and fairley have grown into big boys and staying out of off the field troubles

Are secondary has glover quin, a proven safety to play alongside Delmas

Ziggy Ansah really did well in rookie mini camp and otas

We signed DE isereal indonije ( don't know much about him but I hear he's good at stopping the run

Honestly the only thing I'm worried about for this season is If are coach can discipline and not throw away games and I'm also worried about who will take Justin Durants place

Lions will not finish last in the NFC North unless they get hit with the injury bug like they did last year

I would be pretty surprised. I do think the Lions can compete for a wildcard but I find the division unlikely. They did improve, but so did other teams in the division, including the Packers. In order to win that division I think the Lions would need to win 11 or 12 games to beat out the Packers who i think will finish 11-5 or 12-4 and looking at their schedule, I don't think they will. But if any team from the North makes the playoffs, besides the packers, I'd rather see the Lions make it.

@DK. Rodgers won't be 30 until December and he has said he plans on playing 8 more years. Brady and Manning are in their mid 30s and they're still playing well. Rodgers still has lots of time left

Not too surprised. The bears are basically throwing this season by picking up a nobody head coach like Marc Trestman and I'm distant related to the guy and even I know he's not a good head coach. If the Bears still had Lovie they would still be in contention but now I think they'll beat at the bottom. Until Matt Cassel starts the Vikings will be in 3rd place in the division. Packers are a great team but Rodgers is 30 now he's getting older and he doesn't have many years left. The Lions with Megatron I have them winning the division.

    1. Lions 11-5

    2. Packers 9-7

    3. Vikings 7-9

    4. Bears 5-11

I would be fairly surprised because the North is going to be a close division this year. They still have question marks because yes they brought in people, but now they have to live up to your very high expectations. I think they will be a team that will battle for a wild card spot and who knows if they will get it because come on its the NFL. Maybe they catch a break or maybe the break cripples them. We are discussing the Lions. They have had a culture problem in that organization for some time but who am I to bring that up since I'm a Cowboy fan. I say hope for a wild card spot and anything better than that it bonus.

Very surprised because that means they would have to go like 11-5 and beat the Packers at least once this season. Also that secondary Detroit has is awful, They have no big weapons besides Calvin Johnson to throw it to, and the new kicker Akers they got missed the most field goals in the nfl last season.

I wouldn't be surprised. Not to sound like an arrogant fan but I really don't see a weak spot on this team. I think the Packers take the North but if Rodgers goes down for multiple games I think we can take it.
