going to football matches on your own?

Question

basically i have a season ticket at man utd and i have for the last 5 years with my mates but this year im going to go to a few away games but my mates don't feel like tagging along because of the extra money it will cost. Basically i don't know if i would feel awkward to start chanting if im on my own. would i look out of place if im there on my own say before the game just tagging on and singing? I don't like sitting in silence, i find it boring ha.

anyone else ever go to games on their own? i've never been to a football game on my own so i don't really know if it feels funny or not but i really want to start trying to get a few away games a season.

I haven't personally but a lot of other season ticket holders do.
Normally they get to know people or go to the bar pre game and do a bit of chatting etc.

No one is going to judge you about it, I honestly see a lot of people doing it and they don't look out of place at all.

I have a season ticket at Millwall and because all of my mates support teams like United/Chelsea I always go alone, it isn't that bad, just do what you'd normally do.

Many people go alone. 
Just act like you normally would. Its not a big deal.
