What happened to Braylon Edwards?

This guy looked like the next all time great receiver when he was at Michigan then had some solid years in Cleveland and then a great 07' year. What happened? Injuries, effort, the Jets, all of the above?

He's always had a case of the dropsies throughout his career - screws it up under pressure and in key situations. So pretty much all of the above.

Potential or not, when a guy has just one 1,000 yard season in ten years, you have to think that one good year was the anomaly, not the other way around.

You have to think the talent around him was an issue as well. Pretty much his entire career with spent with the Browns and the Jets - by the time he got to San Fran and Seattle, his talent was already shot. His only great season came in line with that Pro Bowl season Derek Anderson had. The rest of Edwards' career he's been stuck with the crappy version of Anderson, Brady Quinn, and Mark Sanchez. Hard to think any wideout could find sustained success with those QBs.
