How do they keep those giant flags off of the ground?

It has become common place at major outdoor sporting events to have those giant flags unfurled for the national anthem before a game. Sometimes these flags are held by veterans or active duty military - people who would never allow a American flag to rest on the ground. How are these large flags released and stowed without touching the ground?

Many people to support it. I read the giant American flag weighs in the range of at least 1K lbs. it's heavier than it looks. But when you have military veterans holding it, they'll do anything possible to hold a flag up. After all, they are the reason it still flies today. They can hold the flag easily for us.

There are Service Members lined all the way down the full length of the flag, collectively, they all hold it up together
