Vikings: TV series question.?
In the second episode of the latest "Vikings" telecast, a female that I presumed was a shield maiden, kills a warrior as he is raping a female while pillaging. I stopped watching the show after that because I was unsure if this was Hollywood/BBC, or if new data has come forward to change what we knew of the past about females not being allowed on ships. Was this a shield maiden from the sacked village?
Or was she one of the pillagers who had a beef with the now dead warrior?
