Name of children's cartoon/anime movie? (green cricket brooch? )?

I probably last watched this when I was five so I really don't remember much about it but this is what I can remember:

It was a cartoon or anime but very detailed( or at least for those styles) and was done in an older style,

the main two humans were a boy and a girl,

there was a green cricket brooch that came alive at one point and the story revolved around it,

there was an underwater city or castle,

they lose the cricket brooch at one point,

and the girl might have nearly drowned.

Thank you alot for any answers. I've been lookig for the name of this for years now. :)

    I think you're talking about "Ariel(The little Mermaid)". It has three parts and also a tv series. At a point Ariel turns out to be a human. Then there is this underwater city and all.

    Or there is "Atlantis: The Lost Empire". matches points that you described but I forgot about the "green cricket brooch" part. But there were suppose to be something like that which becomes the main point of the whole thing.

    It would've been a little easier if you could tell the year when you watched.
