He's worried about you but he's expressing his worries in the wrong way. He sounds a little controlling like my dad which is probably why he says things the way he does. It's hard for fathers to accept that their daughters are growing up. It scares your dad that you might get a boyfriend and throw your life away by getting pregnant (happens too often these days). He thinks that he can shelter you from that happening by being domineering and using threats to intimidate you. He doesn't understand that he's doing exactly what you shouldn't do if you want to keep your teenage daughter away from boys. Until your 18 you have to follow his rules, so if he says you have to stay away from boys then that's what you're going to have to do. However once your an adult your father really has no power in the situation. I agree that you should wait until you're out of college and get married to have sex but realistically that's all up to you. You're dad needs to understand that.
