Wow! I just read this in Yahoo Philippines, a write-up by By Wincy Aquino Ong and here are some ways:

    1. “I’m doing this for my family.”

Family always comes first before the nation.

Everyone who is not my family are just numbers on a pie chart. They might as well be crash test dummies.

You may call me a horrible statesman, but ask my children and they will tell you I am the World’s Greatest Dad. My children eat in the best restaurants, go on vacations around Europe, and get to have their master’s degrees in the best universities abroad.

And oh by the way, with the meager salary of a politician, how do you expect me to be a good provider?

The Philippines be damned. As long as my wife gets her jewelry and my kids are fat and have the latest PS3 games, I can die happy.

    8. “I’m recouping my expenses from my campaign.”

Winning my seat in office was no miracle from the sky. It cost me an arm and a leg and probably a couple of torsos too.

Politics is a business. I need to recoup my expenses from all the TV spots and the t-shirts and the gift packs I gave away during the elections. Not to mention, those overpriced advertising agency rates.

As long as I do a good job as a leader, breaking even on my expenses should be forgivable.

Now, go to the other 6 in the referenced site.

    Cheers!

i imagine there must be something interior the upbringings of both. i understand maximum with chinese descend have a code of honor concerning morality, many might want to opt to have easy life than pass into corruption because family individuals and prolonged family individuals disown them. even as many interior the filipino subculture, as long as one has the money, you're the respected one. and many filipinos forgive and ignore of previous grudges even as the chinese take it for life. I heard that the worst situation for a chinese is to lose honor/face even as to a filipino , no practise. yet those are primary guidelines and not in any respect a lot substantiated. extraordinarily in this era, many are crooked, even if chinese or filipino.

Well--they steal the Treasury blind Monday to Sunday, that's 7 ways in 7 days. The 8th reason is just simple arrogance, they do it because they can, as they know they will get away with it and know the Filipino in general is too drunk, stupid, lazy and useless to stop them.
