Churches are not tax free because they are churches, they are tax free because they make no profit. There is nothing to tax....0 sum gain All they money they take in is put out in salaries, utilities, building and charities
Non- profit organization, like political parties, PBS, and the Red Cross
Scientology hardly qualifies a church but it does qualify as a non profit

Is Scientology less worthy of being called a " Religion " than the Church of Satan, which is tax except and founded in San Fransisco in 1969 ?

I don't think any religion does. They should pay double, at least.
You haven't heard of the Catholic church? Seriously? The Catholic church commits some of the most despicable crimes imaginable, and spends millions on lawyers defending & re-locating their pedophiles as to protect their image.
