NSW is considering chemical castration?

I think they should have their old fella cut off then throw them to the sharks after all they like to prey on the weak so it would be poetic justice.

This might be slightly extreme to some so branding and chemical castration seems like the next best punishment.

Chemical castration does not remove any body part. It's simply medication that reduces the libido and sexual activity. Apparently it reduces sexual fantasies and the ability to be sexually aroused.

Personally I'd prefer these peope to be safely confined in jail, rather than to rely on medication.

The main problem though is that only around 1% to 10% of child sex molestation is carried out by what the media refers to as paedophiles. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Most kids are molested by people they trust, mainly family members who are respected by their community, and these crimes are rarely reported to the police.

Chemical castration only removes the ability to reproduce not sexual desire, true castration removes the penis as well as the testicles

Even if it never happens, there are already inmates who know how to deal with sex offenders
