Bad moisturizer milk n' honey?

I read some where that Cleopatra used bath in goats milk and honey to keep her skin soft. I did not own any of those things so I used low fat strawberry milk and maple syrup, BUT IT DID NOT WORK! What went wrong?

The only quality in milk I can think of that can soften skin is the fat and cholesterol.

The only quality in honey I can think of that can soften skin is the exfoliating ability of sugar.

The only thing I can think of that went wrong is that

low fat milk is low in fat and cholesterol... and maple syrup is lower in sugar than honey.

A small mix of honey and regular brown sugar can easily act as a cheap exfoliate and cleanser-- it really is a good investment for your face... you can also save money further by toning your face with green tea bags (after brewing tea and drinking it, take the used tea bag, squeeze the excess and pat it on your face).
