Graduate with experience but no ECE certification?

What is the fastest, cheapest way for a non-teaching degree university graduate with experience in teaching kindergarten aged children (done abroad) to become a certified ECE (type 04) teacher in Illinois? Also, what's the pay range for ECE teachers and the job outlook?

    The Certification process depends on each state. I would suggest going to the local state school to get your certification. Alternatively, there are online programs. However, if you want a greater chance of being hired, complete a certification program at a state school or university.
