Is there any parallelism between alkaloids of plants and neurochemicals of humans?

    Well...both of them are kind of biological amines & are derived from same amino acids like phenylalanine(forms adrenaline, noradrenaline), tyrosine, tryptophan(form serotonin)...but functionally they are more similar to opioids than neurochemicals!
