Can anyone help me with a math problem?

The problem is to find the sum of a,b,c, and d if: (X^3 - 2x^2 + 3x+5)/(x+2) = ax2 + bx + c + (d/x+2) The answer is -9. I looked in the back of the book since I couldn't figure it out, but I want to know how it's done.

Update:

Sorry, typo. ax^2 is what I meant to type.

ax2 is nonsense (or 2*a*x). type ax^2 if that is what you mean
