Why did Clint Dempsey leave the Premier League?
He clearly was able to play well there and one of the few Americans who is actually respected across the ocean, But he left to go to Seattle where he is not even from and to a far less competitive league. Also who is better Dempsey or Donovan. My friends say Donovan but I say Dempsey so who is better. Yes I am American but I follow Serie A and The Premier League consistently so I am not a Nascar and football(American) loving ignorant so please no comments about that. Will give best answer, thanks.

Dempsey was not getting the playing time he wanted so he wanted to be in football playing shape for the USA team by leaving Tottenham and going to Seattle which script has a bigger stadium than the Hot Spurs.
Tottenham now have only Soldaldo as an offensive threat since Gareth Bale left for Real Madrid.
