Hey is insanity workout a cheap way of getting fit?

My brother said who runs track and what not..he says that insanity is cheap way of looking good just because track and fields athletes put in months of training to run 5k and what not...but they other day this guy on insanity commercial said he could probably run a 5k after doing insanity ..is my brother right in thinking that insanity is cheap of getting fit ..i do insanity and i like it i dont go out running because i dont like it....and doesnt biking require less effort than running hence it burns less calories ..i wanna get into biking ...but my brother thinks if i cant run and i cant bike either is that true as well? i wanna say i should be able to bike jus fine ...i dont mean like going to biking races or anything.

There are all kinds of free workout videos online, if "cheap" is the primary criteria...

Yes, Insanity is a good at-home workout...it may or may not assist someone in being able to run a 5K (or run a faster 5K), but if you eat clean and follow the program, you should see some fat loss and muscle toning occur...

If you want to bike, then bike...it's a cardio workout and no impact...doesn't work as many muscles as running, but still requires plenty of effort...you do need some level of strength in your legs for biking, but as with anything else that will build up as you practice that activity...
