Does anyone know where the Australian?
term "googie egg" came from?
@ Jay. As you have blocked me, I can't see the point of your offering any opinion what so ever. You answer, even if it made sense, does not count.

Its sort of tautology
"Googie" is an Australian derivative of "goggie" a Scottish child word for egg

It's probably not in the dictionary and it's probably not even literally correct but i always referred to soft boiled eggs with deliciously runny yolk inside which you dip toast soldiers into as a googie egg.
Shows ya how much i know.

well my first thought was probably a saying from somebody's old nanny that found it's way into use
then I read the jungle jim answer and that makes sense to me must have been an old scots nanny...!!!

As one of the Lefties says, comes from the Scottish.
[Jay has me blocked too as have other Lefties, only want to hear from people that agree with them].
I should block all the Lefties perhaps my questions would last longer before they are reported.
