elder scrolls online.not for 360?!?!?

No so far it is only announced for next gen consoles and PCs only and there is no surety that it will come out on current gen consoles. And most likely it will remain for next gen console only and chances for it to come on current gen console are very slim. This is mostly because that game is very intense in graphics and required a very advance machine to render that graphics and only next gen consoles can fulfill that requirements. Current gen console is not capable to handle that game smoothly therefore I don't think so that it will come on Xbox 360 or PS3.

However the other route for you to be able to play it is that you go for PC version of the game if you are not going to take next gen console and PS4 is around 400$ and Xbox One is around 500$ roughly.

No, the game has an independant storyline from all the previous games. However, there are references to events, people, and locations from the previous games in Oblivion, so that if you have played those games the references will make more sense to you then. Such as the fact that the setting of the third Elder Scrolls was in Morrowind and Morrowind borders the Oblivion continent to the East.

Sorry. It's doubtful that they will make it on current-gen consoles. For now, it's only confirmed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

No they won't be making it for the Xbox 360 you will have to upgrade if you want to play it.

Just get a PC or Mac.
