Do Jews believe in a personal God?

I am asking because, due to the fact that most Jews are extremely intelligent, I very much doubt that they do. Being Jewish is more a cultural, social or political practice than a religion in the monotheistic sense of the word.

Yes, they believe in the Christian God but they don't believe that Jesus was his son, he was just a good guy. They only use the first 5 books of the bible so Jesus isn't even in there, and they are waiting for the son of God to come still. Idk if they believe in the holy spirit as the last part of the trinity tho.

And philosophy is basically the study of religion and why we are here, so thats why this could go in philosophy.

The Jews you're talking about are secular or atheists, non-practising but culturally Jewish. Yahweh is a personal God. Ultra Orthodox Jews aren't far off from the Taliban.

So you have to be stupid to be religious?

Atheism is a religion, too, and youre a bigot.

There are plenty of intelligent fools in the world.

Moses will testify against them; because he wrote about Jesus and they don't believe him.
