I adopted a kitty that has been spayed...she was 2 weeks out of surgery when I got her..now we are home 2 week?

She has developed a marble sized knot at the incision site...I was told before I adopted her that she was allowed to go without her e collar and licked the site until it bled and to keep neosporin on it, I am so worried that something is wrong, I am just beside myself...please advise me....Worried Cat Mom

I am sure she is fine, but call your vet for follow up info. Sometimes the girls develop a hematoma which resolves on its own, but ask your vet. Follow up info is free so please call.

That's not an uncommon occurrence with cats that just got spayed and it usually goes away by itself. If the swelling gets bigger and starts to look worse, then I would suggest checking with your vet.
