Unpopular and trying to run for school president next year?

so im in highschool, a junior an this is my first year at this school, next year i want to run for school president and win but unfortunately im not that popular and usually the popular kids win the votes, so what do i do to ensure i win the election next year.

    You don't need to be popular to win.

    Get out there and meet and greet as many as your potential voters as you can. Listen to them. Talk to them.

    Contrary to popular belief, most elections (not just school elections) are based on popularity, not issues.

    I can't think of any reason why people should vote for you. What have you done to deserve votes? (Nothing, according to your statements.)

    What can you do in the future that the others can't do? (If you can answer this one, you've got the election in the bag, if you can simply convince your classmates that your proposal is worthwhile and you are the only one who can see it through.)

    Go for it!! Come up with something that really stands out, make it cool, go the whole 9 yards to make an impact. You'd be surprised how popular you really are and not what you think you are not.
