Job with floral department? Any florists out there?

How does one get into entry level floral work positions? I'm guessing you need to be qualified in some way or trained. Where/how do you go about that? Just for working at like the floral department in a grocery store?

Actually, a grocery store will not be interested in having anyone hanging around who doesn't know what they're doing You would have a better chance at going to a florist and asking if you can help out for free to learn what florists do. You can certainly admit that you would be hoping to get a paid position out of it eventually but either way you will get some basic training on what is necessary and get a feel for the florist business in general.
