Why can I no longer add comments once a best answer is chosen?
Under the "old" style Yahoo! Answers, I could add a comment once my answer was picked as best. Most of the time that's just to thank the person for picking my response as best, but sometimes to add additional information as well.
There is still a comment link in the "new" Y!A, but it does not work. I've tried it with IE (versions 8, 9, and 10) and the current releases of Chrome and FireFox so it does not appear to be browser specific. Oddly, I can add comments to other people's answers, but that's not what I want to do in most cases.
I've tried the Feedback link under the "gear" icon in the upper right, but that does not appear to work at all. There's a space to enter a heading, but no place to provide actual information or submit anything.
IMHO, the "new" Yahoo! Answers is not ready for prime time and is a major step backwards in usability.
Thanks, Bostonian! That does the trick. I was kind of hoping that one of the Yahooligans would kick in with an answer so I'll leave this up for a little while longer.

Go in through the Canada portal. You can just add ca. at the beginning of the URL to be sent there. In other words, where it starts with http://answers.yahoo.com/ , change it to http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/ and you should be good to go. That will be converted eventually as well, but hopefully they will have the bugs worked out by then.
I do agree, the new version is pretty stinky compared to the old one with half-baked menus that only include 3 or 4 items and an annoying one that tumbles to the right when you click on More> only to disappear if you don't mouse over to it quickly. The old one made MUCH more sense.

We actually can with the new layout... I've done it. But I think that option might be a little glitchy, which is probably why it didn't work for you. I've had that happen as well. It may work if you go out and come back in... or may not.
