What is the deal with the New Yahoo Answers Format?

The new format is horrendous, both for askers and answerers. It must have been designed by a committee of idiots who never actually used Y! Answers.

Because I hate the new format so much, I have been going through Answers Canada, which still uses the old format. If Yahoo! goes through with their plan of imposing the new format universally, I'll simply say bye-bye to the whole thing.

Um, you haven't told us how the new one is different from the old one. I don't know what you're referring to. We can still block people, we can still report people, we can still post questions, we can still post answers, we can still link to websites and now we can even comment on an answer. The only things I can't do, is (a) give a detailed reason for my 4-star-rating, and (b) uh, I forgot this one. But I don't see how the new version is much different from the old version.

You can switch back to the old format by using Yahoo Canada or UK answers, it will work.

I hate the new format too. Use the UK or Canada versions. They're still intact. Once they get switched over, then I'm ditching Y!A forever.

I don't like it either. It looks like one of those internet forums. The old look really set it apart from other websites and now it just looks bland.

I can't stand it. They made it much more difficult to navigate and the format is annoying.
