Cat crosses your path, you have bad luck for how long?
Okay, so I'm curious (I'm not a cat so it won't kill me however. .) 7 years ago while I was moving, I accidentally broke a long mirror. Not even a week after, I was on my way to work and a black kitten crossed my path, unfortunately I hit and killed it and still feel terrible. My question is- am I still technically unlucky? How long is the bad luck streak when a black kitten crosses your path? Should I double that since I killed the poor thing?
I'm feeling really unlucky as I can not find a job and unemployment is playing games with me. Guess I'm just looking for a sign of good spirit.

Breaking a mirror doesn't bring bad luck. I remember I've broken them before and nothing bad happened to me.
A cat crossing your path, even if it's black also doesn't bring bad luck. We used to have a black cat that would get in our way all the time but nothing bad ever happened.
The brain is a powerful thing- if you think something, it will make it happen. Not in every case but it can happen in cases such as you think you can't do something and then it turns out you really can't, or you think you can do something and it turns out you can. Meaning, you think you're getting a lot of bad luck due to what happened a few years ago, and that is the cause of your bad luck. Not what happened but the fact that you think so. If you change your thoughts about this and think about all the good things that have happened, I'm sure you'll realize your bad luck isn't all that bad, just the normal amount that people get. Unemployment is common these days so you really just need to try your best finding a job. I'm sure you'll find one eventually, if you keep positive about it and not negative.

I've broken mirrors, walked under ladders and had many a black cat cross my path.
No bad luck followed.

You will not have bad or good luck because a cat crosses your path......... For that nonsense is based on superstition................................................
