Why is this site so full of bugs?
For example, when I edit something in Yahoo answers the original formatting goes away. Honestly, this is a huge company but the quality of the work is horrible. Just look to your left and look at the topic list with the topic names chopped off because they are too long for the space provided. At my small company, I would call in the person who did that and posted it and give him the "Unacceptable" speech and that would happen once. I'd be firing most of the people who work for Yahoo....
Edit: I think JanetM's apologetics are absolutely extraordinary. "The original formatting only seems to go away. Refresh and it's corrected. " are you kidding me? You think that is acceptable?
"Topic names: Do you not know what the topics are? "
Are you kidding me? The website can look like trash because frequent users know what the hidden words are?

Becuase it was half *** designed by someone who is inept.
NEVER have I EVER seen a website take months to roll out a new format then have it be in various stages of uselessness. Other websites design a new format, implement it at once, end of story.
Excuses are like..well you know.

Remember... we are still in trial mode. I'm not thrilled, but as I get acclimated and figure things out, it's getting better. There are glitches, and there are things people don't like that are not glitches.

The "huge company" doesn't oversee this site. There's just a small little group of people.
Topic names: Do you not know what the topics are? That's not the sort of thing you fire people for. If you do, then the problem isn't the employees. I find that barely even noticeable because I'm reading what the topics are without seeing all the letters. And that may eventually be fixed.
I know at first glance, a lot of people don't like the look of the new layout. I like how it looks better. I thought that green was not only a bad color, but it was just a very dated design. It looked like a magazine design out of the 60's. One of the things I don't like about it is that it just seems too 'busy'.
There are a number of glitches. Maybe some will be fixed, but I won't hold my breath. The other layout had a LOT of glitches that had gone uncorrected for months. So no reason to think new glitches will be fixed, I guess. The biggest one: I've lost several answers because I clicked somehwere in the answer to fix something and 'poof' the answer I'm composing has disappeared!! No way to get it back.
Anyway, give it some time. Some things will be fixed and improved, and other things, once we find things and figure things out, we'll get used to.
