Whay does the banner for the Yahoo Groups subcategory no longer say "Yahoo Staff are here to help"?

That simple sentence used to be the user's sole clue that this is an official contact point for getting help from Customer Care representatives. It seems to be missing from the banner now that I see a redesigned Answers (does everyone?).

Are Staff still here to help? I can see that Echo's been here lately, but she's not flying her "Staff" badge, nor any avatar at all (just a blank white space).

    It appears to be one of the things that were taken away with the new Y!A format that is being implemented. Yes, I cannot find it either.

    Yes, staff are still answering around here in the Y!Products category, and the green Staff badges have now been replaced with shield icons. (like crowns for TC, now shields for staff).

    I will have to disagree with your statement "this is an official contact point", because, as I'm sure you know, Y!A is overwhelmingly just normal users answering questions, and no staff answer is guaranteed. Personally, I like it gone because I felt that it gave users the false impression that Y!A is really a big customer care center, but some may disagree.

    PS --- you should add this to one of the Suggestion Board threads about Feedback/Comments on the new format if you have not already, I think it is worth nothing.

    You should be able to see Yahoo's phone number on the top right hand side of the Help pages. Here is what you see on the banner:

    click here

    Once you see the purple banner, there is a link to click that gives you the following options:

    When you need help, Yahoo can be contacted three ways:

    1. Phone - Call 1-800-318-0612 - It is a rather long wait time but they do eventually answer. It is mainly for Yahoo Mail issues.

    2. Email - Send an email to a Support Agent via their form.

    3. Yahoo Answers - Such as Ask the Community

    Thanks for noticing. ;)

    Chalk this up to "growing pains". With the new changes to Answers, there are inevitable loose ends to tie up. We still have moderators active daily in many of the Yahoo Products categories (like Echo in Groups and Finance as you've mentioned). "Yahoo Staff are here to help" still. Only the banner is missing.

    Stay tuned for badges. We expect them to be back, new and improved very soon! I'd like to see a replacement for the banner text as well. We are working on this.
