Which ones would you recommend.? Vuelta wheels and hubs or MAVIC XP22N rims with Shimano hubs?
i love my Vuelta but the bike I am getting for wife has the mavic.
She didn't like her new Trek FX 7.6 and she loved so much her MOTOBECANE in the 1970. I decided to surprise her.
Thanks! I know is not the same Motobecane. I do have a Motobecane USA (Vent Noir) that I do love as well and has gone over 6,000 miles in the last 3 years.
@ Old Hippie, I noticed but is not big deal, she has another 2 bikes at home that she can ride until then, not counting my bikes.
I should have been more clear with the Vuelta wheels. What I got is the XRP PRO and I want to know how they compare to the mavic xp22n.

The individual components of the wheels are probably better than your Vuelta wheels, but it all depends on how well the wheels were built. You can take the best hubs, spokes, and rims and still build lousy wheels if the spoke tension isn't right. The only similarity the bike has to those old Motobecanes is the name. It won't be anything like those old French built bikes
