kitty wont stop meowing?

Hey so i got a kitten yesterday and its playful and every thing but it wont stop meowing. Ive done everything i can think of. Feed it play with it put it in the litter box take it out side but she keeps mewoing. The only thing i can think of is that i havent seen her use the bathroom yet. We got it yesterday and after an hour we put her in the shed and went to bed. I didnt really look around to see if she had gone. Is it just because she feels like it or what? Please help idk what to do.

    You got her yesterday?

She’s probably crying for her mommy, wondering where she is.

Put her on your warm chest or belly and let her be rocked by your breathing pattern, just like kittens falling asleep on their mommy’s belly after breastfeeding.

Use your arms or a blanket to remind her of her siblings’ warmth.

Hopefully, she’s not Siamese as those are very vocal and meowing to the point of making you berserk.

Once I got a 6 weeks old kitten (she died 2 years ago at 18.5 years of old age) and put her in my cleavage under my T-shirt. She stayed there all day long without making a noise.

I spent the afternoon at a friend’s house and she had dogs so I kept my kitten on me wondering when she would start to pee on me (she did not).

On my way home, I stopped to buy cat litter and kitten food. I put the litter box in a corner of my kitchen.

I put the kitten on the floor, she went right away to the litter box, did her business and went into hiding behind the fridge for several days, only getting out to eat kitten food, drink water and use the litter box.

I was starting to wonder if she was mute.

She was not and got comfortable enough to accept my house and yard as her territory.

She was meowing very rarely, like once each time I fed her (like saying thanks) and sometimes when she was mistakenly locked up in the garage or somewhere (like “help! I don’t know how to open a door!) and each time I took her to the vet for her yearly check-up.

When she started crying in the middle of the night, I gave her a few days to get better but she did not and she started crying during the day so I took her to the vet without needing an appointment and she peacefully died in my arms. That was the only time she did not cry when going to the vet.

This kitten is lonely for mom cat and litter mates. She will calm down shortly. Make sure that you hold her and keep her comfortably warm. She need to be fed 4 small meals a day of canned kitten food and kitten formula if under the age of 8 weeks of age. Please have her spayed by four months of age as a kitten this young can get pregnant but it will kill them. Spaying makes for a much healthier cat.

Cat's meow for a multitude of reasons. Maybe she is trying to tell you something. Look around and see what what might be bothering her. Maybe she's scared. Or lonely. The key, I believe, is that you said you just got her yesterday. So, she is in a new environment and just hasn't settled down yet.

young kittens meow because they are signaling where they are to their parents. it will stop after a couple weeks. my kitten meowed every step she took to let me know where she was, and even loader when she couldnt see me. i had to cuddle with her and spend ALLLLLLL day with her. leaving her and coming back to the room, sitting in high places, allowing her to see me then sitting on the floor and move somewhere else. it just has to get used to all the new changes.

check if she went to use the bathroom if not then make her use the bathroom.

Kittens need love, make sure you give her ALOT of attention.

If none of that works, you got yourself a vocal kitten :D

if she just came from a litter she is lonely

a warm water bottle or a ticking clock and a teddy bear might help

    she will adjust

yes do monitor he wee and poo but that would not be my first thought

does she have plenty of water when she wants it? is she on canned food?

    Nothing much you can do.

It prob misses company or it's mother.

Let it in the house with you.

She probably misses her mommy. Try cuddling with her and giving her treats.
