What is effective therapy for Gaucher disease. I am 70 years old and have?
been diagnosed with Gaucher disease. My platelet and white-cell counts have diminished. My doctor doesn't give me anything for it and only checks my blood count. Can you suggest something I can do for it?

I guess it would depend on which type you have - there are three forms

Some do not require treatment.
It seems as if your physician is keeping diligent watch on your levels. I know it may be frustrating that it seems your doctor is doing nothing, but there are many conditions where the treatment is so "rough" on the patient (more so than the condition) that they delay treatment as long as possible.
