How do you feel about the USA giving Pakistan $1.5 billion dollars?

Update:

Tonalc2 First of all the USA is out of money, if all the news articles lately are correct.

Second thing is that I feel is very stupid to pay for friendship to a few people in charge of their government.

About the same as I feel about the federal government giving $16 billion in agricultural subsidies mostly to corporations and rich landowners and $2 billion in unconditional subsidies to Big Oil, and tens of billions in no-bid contracts to defense contractors with friends in Comgress and the Pentagon. In the 80s, we covertly funded and/or armed Iran, Saddam Hussein, and the Afghan mujaheddin, who later morphed into the Taliban and Al Qaeda. We continued funding our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan by bribing them not to attack us during the Surge that disgraced former general and CIA chief David Petraeus boasted proudly about. I wonder which future enemies we are aiding and abetting right now to pursue Pax Americana.

    1. We have always sent billions to Pakistan.

    2. The money was suspended when our relationship deteriorated over the bin Laden raid.

    3. It was determined that the relationship has become good enough to release the funds.

Funny how it's a big deal now. Never was before.

it's an investment, not a guarantee. the recent government shutdown cost the US more than 10 times that.
