Are the Killzone games worth owning?
I say this because Killzone: Shadowfall is a launch title for the PS4 and I was just wondering if its worth picking up the Killzone Trilogy? Do I need to play the others to understand the plot in Shadowfall? Also, why is it that this isn't a shooter that's as widely recognized compared the other shooters on the market? I here Killzone is good but hasn't gotten a fair chance.
@Carlton I owned an Xbox 360 and those exclusives at one point. GOW: Judgment was a cheap cash grab and Halo 4 was a let down. I stopped playing Xbox when I realized a drop in quality as well as Microsoft screwing consumers over with Xbox live and the Xbone. No thank you. Rather pay for a service that gives me 12 free games a month than two and a system that has a greater amount of exclusives

I like Killzone, it has similarities to the Halo series ( which I own ) but they are still completely different games, also Gears of War: Judgement ( which I own ) was complete garbage, weak story and a copy and paste multiplayer. The Killzone 3 servers are still pretty active but once PS4 and Killzone:Shadow Fall releases there will be a drop in players for sure. So in the end I suggest the series, besides a new version of KZ3 only costs about $10 and you can get the whole trilogy for about $30 at GameStop.
Yes Shadow:Fall is a sequel to KZ3 so I suggest playing them, however you won't need to play the entire series to get the storyline.

No, buy an xbox. Gears and Halo are infinitely better exclusives. I own both systems as well as killzone
