My boyfriend's visa got terminated?

Hello all,

my boyfriend is from brazil, my boyfriend got a notice saying that his visa got terminated and the school says that he didn't attend or looked for another school in the last 2 months he was suppose to be there. basically he was studying then he finished his classes which was 6 months ago and now back to his country....now he want to attend another class to improve his English but his visa got terminated because he didn't renew with any of the school in more then 60 days what should he do? Can ya help me out, whats more better? A tourist or student? He just wants to stay with me. He said that he can no longer wait and nor can I because its almost been what 9 months since we been together. What has happen, shouldn't the Embassy or some sort of security let him know that his visa was terminated? He barely found out today when he called the school to re-enter to that college.
