From my experience, when my daughter was one year old she just started walking and loved to push cars. She is very active and enjoyed discovering the world pushing her car. I suggest finding a toy according to your granddaughter's personality; active, explorer, thinker... You can get help directly from the person who sells the toys if you tell them a little bit about your granddaughter.
