Click the Take a Tour button to learn more about the new Yahoo Answers. i did and after watching the video a few times i began to understand the new features and functions.

i don't like the new Yahoo Answers either so i usually use the Canada site which still features the old version. Oddly enough, when i do use the US site, i find i end up answering more questions rather than less. i'm not sure why this is.

Other countries that also had the new version have since reverted back to the old version so i don't know if Yahoo really is planning to roll this format out to everyone. It's like they rolled it out and then rolled it right back in and hid it away. Maybe they are still trying to work out all the bugs before it goes international. But in USA we get that weird toolbar at the top and in other countries they don't have that. The gear icon also is not available in other countries. i don't know what Yahoo is thinking.

I say get used to it. That's what I did, and am very glad I took that route.

It takes some getting used to, no question. Normally, I am not a big fan of change for no good reason. However, this change really does seem to be an improvement, once one gets used to some things' being in a different place.

It looks like Yahoo really is making the switch. Using another country's site to get the old format, as some suggest doing, is just postponing the inevitable. I say use the new one and get used to it. Be patient with yourself as you're learning your way around the new format.

I like the in-line answering and the convenience of the Add Media link and the fact that everyone can now use the thumbs ratings system. I also like that, if you know where to look, you can see who gave you a thumbs-up rating.

I also had problems with the New yahoo mail. My specific complaint was that tabs had disappeared. I like to see my inbox and have multiple emails open to work on. I am using Windows 7 and IE 10.

Other people in other forums (found by googling) had pointed me to the settings cog icon at the too right of the page.

Go to the Cog, choose Viewing email, click the basic radio button and save.

I also went to IE tools and deleted cookies then signed out and signed back onto yahoo.

Yahoo Mail kept coming back with the New version until I did the above then, went to IE tools -> Compatibility View Settings and added yahoo.com to the "Websites you've added to Compatibility View" list.

Now it comes back with tabs.
