Does anybody find it ironic...?

That if you honestly look at history more Christians were killed by polythists for being 'atheists' than atheists?

Update:

@Toke.Lover: Athenagoras’ apology, addressed to Emperor Marcus Aurelius documents one of the primary accusations against Christians was atheism. Other accusations included incest and cannibalism.

Update 2:

Trajan's response to Pliny as to what would acquit one accused "If the accused deny they are Christians and show proof that they are not by worshipping the gods, then they will be pardoned."

Not really, since honestly looking at history I don't see that at all.

The only "killing" of christians by polytheists of any scale at all occurred during a few years of the reign of one Roman Emperor, and only resulted in the deaths of a few hundred christians.

What's ironic is that more christians have been killed by other christians, fighting over whose version of christianity is "true," than from any other source -- that number is well into the millions.

It is probable that historical statistics about Religion are riddled with deceit.

Even up until Einsteins death most atheist scientists belonged to a 'Religious" group purely because Educating the masses called for funding and funding then was prescribed through belonging to a certain ideology to advocate their status.

I suppose I could see irony if some one could provide proof of these claims

PS: so we are talking about JUST the roman empire, not all of history? Yeah....I rest my case.....we are cherry picking.....again.
