Why have we not heard about Vietnam after Typhoon Haiyan hit? or did it just die before hitting Vietnam?

    Haiyan lost most of its strength after going over the Philippines. It did hit Vietnam but by that time was just a tropical storm. Lots of rain and strong winds but nothing close to as bad as what the Philippines went through.

    It was a weaker storm category 1 by the time it reached Vietnam.
