Conserning new console price drops?

Because it gives people hope.

In all hindsight though, prices are not going to drop anytime soon because the demand is so high. Once things settle down and sales slump that's when prices will drop, could be a year ( unlikely ) or more.

Because they couldn't afford it and needed some hope that somewhere they could get it for a cheaper price.

The PS4 & Xbox One will not have a price drop until maybe the end of next year when the demands for those consoles isn't as high as they originally were because most people had already gotten the consoles. But chances are, they probably would release a brand new bundle that would cost just as expensive next year though.

well look at the 3ds when first came out it barely sold so they dropped the price less it doesn't perform to their standard the price will drop but with Microsoft and sony the price wont drop because they'll hit their goals early
