Wasn't paying attention when finished Borderlands 2...?
OK I beat this game last summer and I've been eking out enjoying the sights and curb-stomping puny marauders and psychos with my arsenal since then. But before it gets old...someone please remind me how was it that I could start a new game without losing my current character. I can play this again with everything I got now just like in Dead Island, right? How is it, do I just select New Game and that's it or what?

right now you're playing on NORMAL mode. play it on TRUE VAULT HUNTER MODE(TVHM) it's scaled up to level 50. Get to the main screen once you're done with the story in normal(there will be a popup stating you can start the game in TVHM). then press on select character and press on your character and there will be a choice for you whether you want to play in normal or TVHM. (if that doesn't work, select on new/another character and then select on your main. you don't have to enter game when you select another character just select a different one the go back to your main.
After that, You can opt for Ultimate vault hunter mode(UVHM) it scales to level 61. then after that you can get the Ultimate vault hunter upgrade pack 2 to increase the level cap all the way to level 72 and overpower level 8. To get ultimate vault hunter mode, You need to have the dlc ultimate vault hunter upgrade pack 1.
