Big beautiful garden but healthy for rabbit?

I have a Holland Lop rabbit who I adore and love taking pictures of. Because he is white and black he looks BEAUTIFUL in bright colored flowers. I only have 2 flower pots that have colorful flowers. About two weeks ago I decided to take pictures of him in one of the flower pots. When I put him in there though he began to eat them! I didn't mind that he eats them. Anyways I love that he looks by flowers so this year I want to dedicate the a part of the front of my house just for him and pictures. I want colors! Tons and tons of colors and other plants. Because "bunny berries" are very good for plants and gardening I will be putting that in as well. So my question is what are some flowers that are very colorful but healthy for my rabbit to eat? Also is there a certain type of grass I should or shouldn't use?

Thank you!

** For your viewing here's a picture of him in one of the pots ^__^ Enjoy! Sorry if it's a little blurry. **

I’m so glad you and your bunny enjoy taking pictures together. It’s great to see people getting the most out of their companionship with a rabbit and as a rabbit lover myself I don’t think you can ever have enough pictures on the web.

To answer your question unfortunately a lot of plants are poisonous and it’s likely the more exotic they are the more poisonous they will be. My advice would be to focus on wild plants, although they may not be as colourful they are the plants my rabbits love to eat, a favourite being dandelions and daisy’s. Maybe consider allowing an area of your garden to overgrow a little bit. This will encourage lots of other wildlife such as butterflies and birds they may also add to your composition.

You can find lists on the web to non-poisons plants so this may be a good place to start by looking up what plats are safe. http://www.saveafluff.co.uk/rabbit-info/safe-foods...

If you are going to let you rabbit roam your garden be sure check that its fully bunnyproofed as there can be many hidden dangers in the garden. To find out more check out this page http://www.petproofingexpert.com/rabbit-proofing/h...
