How long does it take for deworming medications to work on cats?
My cat does not have fleas, but he was from the SPCA and two days ago I noticed a few sesame seed like things on him.The vet told me it could be that his initial deworming got rid of his fleas but not all the tapeworms. I took him to the vet yesterday noon and he was given milbermax. How long does it take deworming to work and that he can sleep on my bed again? He went on my bed today, do I have to wash my sheets again? Thanks!
I meant, I washed it last night. But he made his way to my bed today when I was out (I have a sliding door, but he found a way to open it even though I put boxes over to stop him from opening it), do I need to rewash my bedding again today?
And I haven't seen any worms today anywhere too.

Wash your bedding with hot water and dry on the hottest setting. It can take some time for the worm medication to work, and in the mean time, you want to do what you can to prevent your cat from being re-infected, or getting infected yourself. This means cleaning the litter box daily and thoroughly washing your hands afterward, washing all clothing/bedding the cat has been in contact with, etc. If you're still seeing evidence of worms after a week or so, the cat may need to be re-dosed--talk to your vet.
Yes, worms are gross, and can be a hazard if left untreated, but fortunately, they're actually pretty simple to deal with. Deworming meds or your pet, a good hot water and bleach house cleaning for your home, and you should be set.

Your cat does not enter in one side and out from the other, that would be THROUGHS...your cat THROWS UP, as in vomits.\ SInce it's fall, I bet it;'s because she doesn't digest her hair well. Try a bit of butter or oil in her food or a "hairball" additive to help her digest the hair she's cleaning off herself. Also try a brand of food that isn't as rich, one that is formulated for indoor cats. These "indoor" formulas have higher fiber content and natural oils which help them digest. Best way to rid your house of flees is to vacuum the house with Moth Balls in the vacuum bag!! The fleas get sucked in and killed by the moth balls. Dispose of the vacuum cleaner bag after EACH USE. Seal it up in a plastic garbage bag and take it out of your house!!! Do NOT let it sit in the vacuum where the fleas who weren't killed by the moth balls can re-escape back to your home.
