Rick lost to the Governor Walking dead. WTF?

No. Rick had all the chances to kill The Governor but he didn't. So it's not a surprise that the Governor beat him in a brawl. Plus the fact that the Governor is more ruthless than Rick.

Yeah it is bothersome and here is why:

True Rick is not a superhero BUT he is a well seasoned former LEO who knows how to hold his own and more (took Merle with no sweat, bested Shane in a fight etc..) with lots of "fist time". It is not pragmatic to think a tall thin guy who was no bar room brawler in his former life should be able to out swing and maneuver such a seasoned vet.... That's all. Doesn't make sense. Yeah he was shot in the leg and I have to tell myself his wrist was still sprained etc... Just to justify a one eyed guy who was also shot in the shoulder could out fight Rick. Oh well. The brilliant writers of this series goofed on this one. Better to have made Rick out swing, block, counter etc.. The Govenor and some strange event caused a last minute turn of the tables requiring a rescue from Michone. Oh well.... :) great series though!

Well, the Governor had an unfair advantage considering Rick got shot in the leg before their fight..

Not really the governor a big guy. Ricks not a super hero.

2. Rick just saw a father figure get his head cut off so hes shocked. Seeing that really made him shaky and dazed he was in no condition to fight. It was clear he didnt even try cause his heart wasnt in it

In fact, it's what makes the show more real than most tv shows, regardless of the zombies-- sometimes (even when you're the lead) you lose a fight.

The Gov. is dead... that's all that matters. I wish Maggie had done it. But at least it's done.
