Which game is better for you: Pokemon X, Pokemon Y or both?

Only minor differences such as exclusive wild Pokémon, different mega stones on Charizard and Mewto, and of course the legendary Pokémon.

The decision of getting X or Y really comes down to personal liking. And at the end, everyone will still enjoy the same experience regardless which version.

The only differences are some Pokémon you can find in the wild, such as Skrelp is only in Y and Clauncher is only in X.

Each version has some exclusive Mega Stones for evolution, but the stones can be traded between games so the other game can use them. Such as if a Y game trades a Charizardite Y to an X game trading a Charizardite X, Y can have Charizards X mega and X will have the Y Mega.

It's the same game. Very small differences in the story due to the legendary pokemon but that's it.

There are some differences,

X has houndour and Y has mantyke but, X has mantyke's mega evolution and the Y has houndour's mega evolution,

Charzard's mega evolution in X is Black and in Y it lookes like him but, he is just more beast ;3

Mewtwo's mega evolution in X is f***** beast!! And in Y its weird o,o

Your friends are correct, the only diff between the two are the mega evo's. So its really your preference on which mega evo's you'd like.
