MATHS RATION AND PROPORTION 6TH GRADE HELP?

Please help me with this sum.. I have my exams coming up tomorrow....

A car travels 130 km in 2 1/2 hours ( two and a half hours). Find the distance travelled in 3 hrs.

I got the answer.. It is 156 km.. But my doubt is how do you check it whether is right or wrong? PLEASE

    you are correct:

    130 divided by 2 1/2 gives you the distance travelled in 1 hour =52.

    times by 3 = 156

    speed of car = 130 km/2.5 hours = (130/2.5) km/hour

    distance = rate×time

    = 3 hours × (130/2.5) km/hour

    = (3×130/2.5) km

    = 156 km

    130 / 2.5 = x / 3

    2.5x = 390

    x = 390 / 2.5

    x = 156

    [130/(5/2)]* 3 = 156
