Running out of space on my C: drive?

Windows 7. Have 32 gig on my E: drive and 71 gig on my D: drive. Is there an easy way to expand my crowded C: drive. Rename or something. If I could just switch contents of C: and D: drive and have them function the same it would be great.

Update:

I followed Ryans advice and shrank my D: drive. So now I have all existing drives and 40 gigs free space. But the system will not allow me to expand my C: drive. I see that it is possible but the expand button is not active when I right click on the c: drive.

Yes you can. Your C and D drives are just partitions on the same hard drive, so if you shrink your D drive then you can expand your C drive. To do this right click on My Computer and click Manage on the left side panel click on Disk Management. Now make sure you have some empty space on your D drive before you shrink it.

Uh, not sure how Ryan knows they are the same hard drive... It appears you have 3 different drives? You can move stuff from C to D or E. Realize however, that when you go below 15% of drive space available you take a performance hit. It sounds like you need to purchase a new larger hard drive to replace one of the ones you have.

Windows 7, allows you to change the size of partitions, through"diskmgmt.msc". Another way is to move your "My Documents" folder to the D: drive, open the properties of the folder icon.
